• Why did CYT NYC change to Truthbase Theatricals?

CYT Inc. has recently changed their mission statement.  We would like to keep the focus of our organization on the historic stated mission, so we will now operate independently under a new name.

• What is TbT's Mission Statement?

Truthbase Theatricals is committed to building values-driven character through quality training in the arts, and producing wholesome entertainment that promotes a Scriptural worldview.

• Was everyone on the Board in agreement regarding this decision?

Yes, there was 100% unanimity among the Board and Staff about this decision.

• Will programming and prices remain the same?

There should be no significant differences as a result of this name change. You can expect more of the excellent programming you have come to expect from us to continue, but under a different name. In fact, we are actually expanding our program offerings in the coming year – it’s an exciting time to be a part of TbT!

• Who is TbT accountable to?

Truthbase Theatricals Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with its own governing Board, which will not change.

• What financial resources were you receiving from CYT Inc. that will need to be found elsewhere?

None. We paid a licensing fee to CYT, Inc. under a term license agreement. We did not receive any funds from CYT Headquarters. The only practical change will be a new website, domain and hosting.

There are a variety of ways to get involved with TbT to support our programs!  We would love to hear from you!

• Volunteer with The Truthbase Team!

We are in need of individuals who are willing to donate their time, skills and/or materials to support TbT classes and shows! We will find a place to use your unique skills! For productions, if you have seamstress/tailor, painting skills, construction skills, stage management experience or industry relationships that could partner with us, we would greatly appreciate your time and energy to help us grow. Email info@tbtnyc.org or speak with any TbT staff about joining our team.

• In-Kind Donations

We are always grateful for donated materials for sets, props or costumes, donations for show concessions, donated storage space, and more! Email corrie@tbtnyc.org or speak with any of our staff. 

• Rehearsal and Production Facilities

Finding where we can hold classes, rehearsals and full-scale productions can be challenging. If you know of a facility we can utilize at a nominal price, or a space that might donate to TbT, we would like to hear from you! Launching programs in a new location always begins with a gracious venue willing to host us! Please email corrie@tbtnyc.org or speak with any of our staff with venue ideas.

Yes!  There are several ways to consider giving to TbT:

• Sponsor a scholarship student or an aspect of our spring production. 

• Purchase a TbT gift certificate for a current or interested student. Email info@tbtnyc.org for instructions.

• Truthbase Theatricals Inc. is a (501(c)(3) non-profit organization. You can make a one time donation or become a TbT sponsor by committing to donate monthly. If you setup a recurring donation of $20 or more and you or your business will be thanked in our show program!  To give to TbT, click the donate button below. If you are donating via PayPal, please consider adding 2.3% to cover processing fees. Thank you! 

 

• Double your Donation Dollars!  Please consider asking your employer if they offer a matching gift program. Many employers will match charitable donations or volunteer hours made by their employees. It’s an easy way to double the impact of your contribution.
